
Rosita Ferrato is a professional journalist, who has collaborated – inter alia – with the Italian Broadcaster Rai and Mondadori newspapers, with the Italian-Romanian Noua Comunitate periodical (of which she was editor-in-chief), with the Redattore sociale national press agency, with Eco, Nuova società, Turin newspapers and Babelmed, the site of Mediterranean cultures.
She is also a writer and a photographer: she has written on travel (“Albania, sguardi di una reporter” and “Albania. Un piccolo mondo antico tra Balcani e Mediterraneo”); customs and traditions (“Le Piere”, “Le divine”, “I”); and from her latest photographic reportage, the exhibition “Primavera a Tunisi” was born.
In 2017 she published her travel diary I Tuffatori di Casablanca, the result of her numerous trips to Morocco.
In 2019 she published her first novel L’amante siriano.
In 2012 she founded and directed the cultural association Caffè dei Giornalisti (www.caffedeigiornalisti.it) which every year organizes the forum “Voci Scomode”, which hosts refugee journalists of the Maison des Journalistes in Paris.
She lives in Turin and Tunis.
