This Zorba Press edition of Michael Tobias’ novel, 21st Century Solitude, has never been published before, in any format.

21st Century Solitude is a haunting, provocative and devastating novel that evokes a complex character study at the heart of our most refined proclivity — child bearing and parenthood — and what these two biological conundrums mean to someone more accustomed to bird watching than coping with the human condition. Set largely in the state of Georgia, the work is a psychological and scientific thriller, filled with surprises from the first page to the last.
